Cardio exercise is a broad term that covers any activity that raises your heart rate and respiration. It usually involves moving your legs and arms, but can include swimming, cycling or even walking up stairs.
Cardio exercise is beneficial because it increases the amount of oxygen that reaches your muscles, which allows them to work harder during the workout and afterwards. This leads to improved endurance and muscle tone.
Cardiovascular health is highly important for overall health, as it affects everything from your mood to your memory function. Cardiovascular disease accounts for about 30 percent of all deaths in the United States each year, according to the American Heart Association (AHA).
The AHA recommends that adults engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity per week.
You might have heard of HIIT (high intensity interval training) and wondered how it could possibly be effective in just a few minutes. The secret is that HIIT is designed to improve your fitness level by pushing your body to its limits with short bursts of intense exercise.
The 7 minute exercise workout uses this same principle to get your heart rate up and burn calories. The idea is that you push yourself as hard as possible for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds. Repeat this cycle for a total of 3 sets (or 6 repetitions). Then do another set with a different exercise, alternating between sets of two exercises until you've done all four exercises twice each.
Remember that some physical activity is better than none. Even small amounts of physical activity can provide health benefits.
This 7 minute exercise workout has been proven to be effective for office workers to do a short and fast workout while they are at their desks. It only takes 7 minutes and helps to train the muscles of your entire body.
Doing a bit of exercise is better then nothing, even if you are stuck behind the desk all day.
The 7 minute exercise is a short but intense workout. You should do it at least 3 times a week and aim for 30 minutes of cardio exercise each day. Cardio exercise is the first of the two types of exercise you should be doing. It’s a great way to burn calories, increase your heart rate and improve your overall fitness level. Add it in for at least 20 minutes three times per week for the best results.
The 7 Minute Workout is designed to be done at home by anyone, anywhere, without any equipment. It's just 7 minutes and will help you lose weight and get lean muscles. In the comfort of your own home, this quick routine can be modified for all fitness levels from beginner to advanced and does not require any equipment other than your body weight and a chair if you need it.
